SMS CZ Introduced New Products Throughout the Year
The Czech agricultural machinery manufacturer SMS CZ s.r.o. introduced several new products to the market this year. The flagship among these innovations is the new four-frame compactor SEVERIT G with a working width of 12 meters. The TALON MEDIUM subsoiler range has also been expanded with models featuring working widths of 4 and 5 meters.
12-Meter SEVERIT G Compactor
The SEVERIT compactor series has been enhanced this year with the introduction of the SEVERIT G 1200 model, offering a 12-meter working width.
Designed for cooperatives and large farms requiring high daily outputs, the SEVERIT G is primarily used for seedbed preparation. By combining various types of working tools, this machine can level fields, break clods, and prepare a precise seedbed in a single pass. This efficiency saves operational costs and protects the soil from compaction caused by repeated passes of heavy machinery.
The SEVERIT G is a semi-mounted machine with four robust, hydraulically folded working frames. Each frame is independently mounted, allowing excellent terrain adaptation. In the working position, the transport wheels are located ahead of the working sections.
The compactor offers high working speeds of up to 15 km/h, saving time for farmers while improving clod fragmentation. The working sections combine leveling bars, rollers, and tines to achieve optimal seedbed preparation in a single pass. A wide range of accessories is available, including different roller types (strip, crosskill, and double crosskill), arrow or chisel tines, track eradicators, hydraulic depth adjustment, and more. The wide spacing between the working tools prevents clogging, enabling the SEVERIT G to operate effectively on fields with plant residues or under moist conditions.
Expansion of the TALON MEDIUM Subsoiler Range
The innovations from SMS CZ do not end there. The company also expanded its TALON MEDIUM subsoiler range this year with the introduction of the 400/9H and 500/13H models, offering working widths of 4 and 5 meters, respectively.
The TALON MEDIUM subsoiler is primarily used for post-harvest soil management. With its high clearance, it efficiently processes stubble with large amounts of plant residues, providing a cost-effective and more productive alternative to plowing. The subsoiler can work at depths of up to 45 cm, aerating the soil and breaking up compacted layers, which positively impacts the root systems of crops.
The new 400/9H and 500/13H models feature 9 and 13 tines, respectively, with shear bolt or hydraulic safety mechanisms. Operators can adjust the working depth hydraulically. The machines can also be equipped with a variety of accessories, including side deflectors to prevent ridges, support wheels, and different types of tines.
